"A Giant's Dream" is the second single of brazilian stoner band Curupira in their homonymous first album. It is an intense and ethereal journey thorugh the world of dreams, except he who lies in Morpheus arms is not human, but a giant. Even this mighty creature carries insecurities and this track describes the nightmare he faces. Captured by an ardilous trap of a human tribe, he was kept in enormous chains as a magalomaniacal sacrificial ritual was prepared. The giants escapes, a slow and rhythmically charged riff, that drives the whole song, represents his strenuous steps as he flees through the sea, stepping on the waves in midst of a storm, thunder blasting near his ears. Many toughts aflict his mind, will i survive? Will i be remembered by the other giants or be forgotten forever?
